“The Muntree Experience” Created By Taigenz

The first edition of The Muntree Experience EVENT took place LAST THURSDAY at the Hotel Metropolitan for the launch of Taigenz’ latest EP entitled “Life A Life”.

THE PROJECT JUST DROPPED AND IS IN SOME WAY A CONTINUATION TO THE EVOLUTION OF HIS PREVIOUS PROJECT CALLED “LIFE AINT FREE” FOR WHICH AN ENTIRE CAMPAIN TOOK PLACE AND merchandise WAS SOLD ALL ACROSS THE CITY OF MONTREAL.

The MUNTREE experience was a mix of a press conference AND a private performance intended for MUSIC AND MEDIA INDUSTRY PROFESSIONALS AS WELL AS LONGTIME FANS OF THE RECORDING ARTIST. notably, there was no dress code for the event and yet THE croWD showed up dressed to impress in their Hip Hop’s best WHICH FURTHER speaks to the type of following that taigenz has gained over the years.

“This has to be the most elevated Hip Hop event that I’ve been to in a while… If not ever” expressed a show attendee after Taigenz got off stage towards the end of the night.

When we think about Hip Hop parties we tend to think of street vibes and a 90’s wardrobe (which is amazing) however, this soirée was executed with such style and grace that it took us to the Upper Echelons of rap music (imagine if Jay-Z, Drake and your favorite Afro Beats meets Drill artist become one individual for the night).

The hotel’s resto-bar was the perfect venue for this type of party. The decor was business casual with a healthy dose of Montreal MEMORABILIA which complimented the name of the event very well. audibly, guests were greeted by the sounds of DJ Randy Jaymz (@DJRAndyjaymz on instagram) as he set the tone for the lovely night ahead.

On site, we had news personality Alicia C. Moore (@AGorgeousLife on instagram) who sat on stage with the recording artist to ask him questions regarding his latest EP while simultaneously digging into Taigenz’ past, future and deepest THOUGHTS. The journalist also passed the microphone throughout the crowd so that his fanbase could ask any and every pertinent question that they’d like the answers to. The interview was live streamed on YouTube and will also be available online to the general public very soon.

Taigenz, the local artist that created The Muntree Experience (which if you haven’t guessed yet, stems from his own perspective of Montreal) answered the questions very candidly and gave the crowd some good laughs while also being extremely vulnerable about himself, his music and his career aspirations.

Following the press conference was a fun performance by the composer which incorporated his new releases, some of his classic hits, a dance number by Marie-Caroline (@MC_Lemieux on instagram) and ended with a duet sung alongside Michele (@micheleee.____ on instagram) for their new song 1:15am.

Taigenz’ overall style cannot be limited to one genre seeing as he offers his listeners a blend of North American rap (both in English and in French), Afro-Drill, mellow beats and mainstream pop vibes.

All in all, he is a well rounded musical talent that delivers top notch entertainment from start to finish and we look forward to more Muntree Experiences.
